Toongabbie Baptist Church (TBC) is a growing and diverse community of over three hundred people in an expanding area of Western Sydney. TBC is excited to be seeking an Associate Pastor (Next Gen) to join our growing team. TBC has a strong desire to see the gospel preached, to see disciples made, and to see the next generation of Christians passionate and equip to serve Jesus all their days. Therefore, the successful applicant would be passionate and excited to see the next generation discipled. They would be excited and committed to work alongside the ministries, vision, and purposes of the church.  This role will be primarily responsible for providing direct leadership in the important areas young people, youth, and kids with a direct input into kids.

General Description:

Providing direct leadership and oversight to our NextGen ministries (Young People, Youth and Kids) seeking to grow and develop this area in a new direction whilst establishing effective teams to grow these ministries. A key area of focus will be our kids’ ministries during our Sunday services.

Competencies: 

The ability to build and develop effective teams, strategic planning, and organisational skills. Self-motivated, reliable, hard-working and works well in a team setting.  Prepared to adapt to organisational change as ministries grow. Completed a theological degree at an evangelical college.

Character and Conviction:

We are looking for a Pastor who has an infectious love for Jesus, loves the next generation and loves to share Jesus with them whilst equipping other to perform these tasks. Demonstrates Godly character and leadership. Fulfils the qualifications of a Pastor in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. Convicted to make and grow disciples of Jesus while leading TBC in discipling the NextGen. Agrees with TBC’s statement of beliefs.
