Visit to Western Sydney – Penrith Baptist Church
The Finance, Admin, standards & Insurance teams visited Penrith Baptist Church for a workshop in June. We would like to thank all those who attended, it was really lovely to meet you all.

ACNC – Deadline for AIS for year ended 31 December 2016
The deadline for completing the AIS and submitting annual financial statements for churches with a year end of 31 December is 30 June 2017. If you need any assistance with this, please contact Heidi Tak (02) 9868 9216.
Is your church eligible for the ACNC Tick of Charity Registration?
The ACNC Tick of Charity Registration (the Registered Charity Tick) aims to gives reassurance to the public that the charity is transparent and accountable by highlighting its presence on the ACNC Charity Register.

Government pricing and stamp duty exemptions.
As a non-profit organisation, you may be eligible for government pricing. Refer to the link below for details and registration.
Also, as a non-profit organisation you may be exempt from motor vehicle duty and insurance duty exemptions, if you haven’t already, use the link below to apply.
These may be useful for your church when purchasing large items such as motor vehicles which can be purchased by eligible organisations at government prices and also without stamp duty.
When should a church complete an incident report and provide it to Baptist Insurance Services? Any time there is an injury, no matter how small! When is the best time to complete an incident report? As soon as possible after the incident to ensure the details are fresh in your mind. This will ensure the church is fully protected at any time in the future. Providing an incident report does not impact your church insurance policy or premium in any way.

Creating Safe Spaces
The new program will include an online module to be completed prior to a 3 hour face to face workshop (combined awareness & refresher).
We encourage all churches who are able to host a Creating Safe Spaces workshop once every three years.
