Welcome to the December 2016 quarter of the Church Administrators Newsletter. Now being back from 6 months of maternity leave, I thought I would touch base through the newsletter again. During the time, I have spent some time developing some templates that may be useful for treasurers and secretaries.

CCLI and Big Movie licenses 2017

It’s that time of year again, license renewal time!

We have emailed to you church treasurer/ secretary a copy of the form for the renewal of CCLI and Big Movie licenses for 2017. You can also download a copy: Letter to Churches for licenses 2017 NSW.

To participate in this scheme for 2017 (being 31 October 2016 to 31 October 2017) please return the application form and full payment by 30 September 2016. Late applications cannot be accepted due to CCLI and Big Movie Studio deadlines.

ACNC – Deadline for AIS for year ended 30 June

The deadline for completing the AIS and submitting annual financial statements for churches with a year end of 30 June is 31 December 2016. If you need any assistance with this, please contact Heidi Tak (02) 9868 9216.


Personal property stored on church property

Please note that the personal property (including musical instruments) of Pastors, staff, congregational members and attendees, used for ministry purposes and/or stored on church property, is not automatically included in the Church insurance cover. Saying this, it can be insured on request.

BFS is currently looking to fill the role of “Client Services Officer (Fulltime)” in our Sydney office, located at Epping. This position provides the opportunity to be actively involved in the financial services ministry undertaken on behalf of our Baptist Churches.

Past experience with a Credit Union, Building Society or Bank and a knowledge of Ultracs and/or FileOptics Imaging software would be an advantage.
