Event Terms and Conditions

Guidelines for Conduct at Assemblies of the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT 

Assemblies are convened for the purpose of engaging with key matters through discussion, discernment, and decision-making. Members, particularly church delegates, attend as representatives of their church communities. 

To preserve the integrity and focus of the Assembly: 

• Activities outside the scope of the Assembly’s purpose—such as recording proceedings, posting on social media, or engaging with media representatives—are strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the Assembly. 
• After the Assembly, delegates are encouraged to report discussions and outcomes back to their churches. 
• Any public or social media commentary should remain general in nature and always reflect a tone of Christian grace and respect.

The Baptist Association of NSW & ACT is not liable for any losses incurred in connection with the event, including but not limited to transport and accommodation costs. The Association reserves the right to amend any published event details without notice and retains final authority on all matters related to the event. 

Refund and Cancellation Policy 

We understand that plans can change. If you need to alter your registration: 

• Cancellations and refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT no later than two weeks prior to the event. 
• No refunds will be issued after this date. 
• If exceptional circumstances apply, please contact us to discuss your situation. Special consideration may be given at the Association’s discretion. 

Privacy Statement

Your privacy is important to us. We collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information to support the ministry and administrative functions of the Association, including event registration and communication. 

• If you do not provide your information, we may be unable to process your registration or keep you informed. 
• We may contact you via email or mail, and you can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us. 
• Your information may be shared with affiliated Baptist Churches, partner organisations, and event hosts as necessary.

Photography and Videography 

Photographs and videos may be taken during events for promotional use by the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT. If you do not wish to have your image used, please notify us at hello@nswactbaptists.org.au.
