Insights, is a monthly time of information, connection and inspiration. Last year we saw leaders from across 173 churches within our movement gather throughout the year for Insights Zoom. We’ll be diving deeper into different areas of Leadership Development across each 1-hour session. Allowing each session to become an Insight into one of these areas.
If you are a Baptist leader do not miss this opportunity to invest in your leadership development. Be intentional in setting aside time to fellowship and grow with other Baptist leaders as we journey together to our Gen1K Goal of 1000 Healthy Churches in a Generation.
Insights will take place on a monthly basis through Zoom and this months session will take place on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 from 1pm-2pm. When we have events like The Gathering and our Annual Assembly or Leadership Conversations we will skip those months to make it easier for you to engage in Association-wide events. We’re even looking to bring in some experts to help with Insights topics. In 2022, Insights is will take place on the following days. Be sure to pop them in your diary.

What topics will we be exploring?
This month we are joined by Graeme Anderson! Graeme will be giving us an insight into the Resilience Over The Long Haul.
The past three years have been incredibly challenging for many pastors and leaders. Over the first half of 2023 we’re focusing intentionally on the well-being of pastors and leaders. We’re delighted to welcome author and pastor Graeme Anderson (Senior Pastor / Northside Baptist Church) to share practical insights around developing sustained resilience.
PURPOSE
‘Insights’ is a monthly Zoom meeting where NSW & ACT pastors and leaders come together. It was commenced during COVID, primarily as a way to update pastors and leaders with time-critical COVID-related information and some leadership development input. Historically Insights has had engagement with between 40 to 150 leaders each month.
Over the last 12 months however, the purpose has transitioned far more toward leadership development & empowerment and away from COVID updates. For example, last year we had Des Ong (a Director at The Future Leader Group) speaking on ‘Developing marketplace leaders’ and Ruth Powell (from NCLS) speak on evangelism insights from NCLS into our post-COVID context. I am keen for ‘Insights’ to continue to provide relevant engaging leadership development & empowerment for pastors and leaders.
How do I register?
Insights is a free event put on by the Association but you will need to register to receive the Zoom link. Registration is made available here on the Association’s website. Scroll to the bottom of this page and you will be able to register. Select the number of people joining and fill in your details. A few days prior to Insights you will receive an email with the Zoom access link. Please make sure to securely store this email to make accessing the meeting a smoother process. You will need to register for each month you would like to attend. If you have any issues with the registration process or do not get sent the Zoom meeting information please email hello@nswactbaptists.org.au.
