Are you looking to regsiter your child to attend State Youth Camp or a leader looking to register for State Youth Camp? You’ve come to the right place! We look forward to you joining us for an amazing shared experience with God, with 3 nights of camping, activities, worship, prayer, teaching and relationship building.

State Youth Camp is a camp designed for high school aged young people attending a youth group. We have youth groups from all over NSW and ACT joining us at camp each year. From Grafton to Wagga, Central Coast and the Hunter as well as Northern Beaches, the Shire, and Canberra. We are excited to see you and your youth ministry there in 2021! Please read the registration information below carefully to register to attend State Youth Camp with your youth group.

Authorisations

Please read the authorisations below carefully. By completing this registration, you agree to the following:

• I grant permission for my child to attend BYM State Youth Camp at the Cataract Scout Park.
• I understand all activities will be fully supervised and the Child Safety Protocol will be adhered to.
• In the case of an emergency, I give consent for my child to receive medical care if I or my alternative emergency contact cannot be reached.
• I authorise the leader in charge of my child’s group to arrange for my child to receive first aid and medical treatment as a trained first aid person may deem necessary.
• I authorise the use of calling an ambulance if it is judged necessary. I am aware that there may be an associated cost for this that I am required to cover.
• I accept responsibility for payment of all and any expenses associated with such treatment.
• I consent to the administering of paracetamol pain relief for my child if deemed necessary by first aid officer.
• If my child has a complex illness, I will provide a medical action plan to their youth leader prior to camp.
• If my child or another person in the child’s household has been exposed to an infectious disease (including but not limited to COVID-19, Gastroenteritis) within 7 days of camp I will not send my child to BYM State Youth Camp.

Photography/Video Agreement

As part of attendance at the BYM State Youth Camp, I give permission for my child to have their photo/video taken and stored by Baptist Youth Ministries/Association of Baptist Churches NSW/ACT (in accordance with the Privacy Act of NSW). Video footage and photographs will be taken to record youth events and may be used to promote the State Youth Camp, Association of Baptist Churches of NSW/ACT, BYM and its various youth activities in both print and digital formats, including a website. You may withdraw this permission at any time by writing a letter to Baptist Youth Ministries, Level 4, 5 Saunders Close Macquarie Park NSW 2113, or via email staff at stateyouthcamp@nswactbaptists.org.au.

The Baptist Association of NSW/ACT does not accept responsibility for any losses incurred, including but not limited to, transport and accommodation booked for the event. The Baptist Association of NSW/ACT reserves the right to change any of the published event details without notice and have the final say on any matter relating to the event.

Liability Release

I acknowledge that camp activities can be hazardous, and that the attendee participates at their own risk. I understand the camp leaders take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for the attendee and to ensure all equipment supplied by them for any activities is of a reasonable standard.

I acknowledge the church/leaders/Baptist Association of NSW/ACT/Baptist Youth Ministries, its staff and volunteers will not be liable for any injury that may be suffered by this attendee, which arises either directly or indirectly from, or in connection with, the State Youth Camp.

I hereby agree to indemnify Baptist Youth Ministries, Association of Baptist Churches of NSW/ACT, the Youth Ministry listed above and any other Baptist churches/organisations against any and all claims arising from, or in connection with, any injury that may be suffered by this attendee, or that the attendee may cause to another person, as well as any loss or damage to property, equipment or personal effects belonging to this attendee, or any other person, arising either directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the State Youth Camp.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

The Baptist Association of NSW/ACT understands circumstances change and offer the following alternatives to assist you should you need to alter your registration. Cancellations and refund of payments can be arranged by writing to The Baptist Association of NSW/ACT before 3rd September 2021. Any cancellations before the 10th September 2021 incur a cancelation fee of $40 per person. No refunds will be issued after this date. The Baptist Association of NSW/ACT can allow for special consideration of your circumstances regarding this policy. If this is the case, please contact The Baptist Association of NSW/ACT to discuss your circumstances. Should BYM State Youth be cancelled refunds will be issued. Further, please be aware that cancellations made as a result of being exposed to COVID-19 or a child being located in a hot spot will not incur a cancellation fee.

The purpose of collection, holding, use and disclosure of the information is to fulfil the ministry and administrative functions of the Association. We also collect your information to administer your registration for events and invite you to events. If you do not provide your information, we may not be able to do this. We may share our information collected with other Baptist Churches, affiliated organisations, and hosts of events you are attending.
