Spiritual Leadership matters more.
As a Spiritual Leader you carry both a weight and a privilege.
The weight of expectation of responsibility and the privilege to influence others in finding and following God’s call on their lives.
Oswald Sanders outlined it like this. “Spiritual leadership is the power to change the atmosphere by one’s presence, the unconscious influence that makes Christ and spiritual things real to others.”
We know that the demands of ministry require us to continue to grow and develop. We also know that there are particular challenges that are faced by those in a paid role, other than Senior or Sole pastor.
This is an opportunity to;
- See who God has made you to be and appreciate how that has occurred.
- Have awareness of the challenges and opportunities we are facing in ministry today.
- Gain insight into where you are up to as a leader.
- Discern where God is leading you.
We want to invest into you in our time together and will include times of connection as we share of joys, challenges, opportunities, burdens, as well as times of input that are particular to women and men in these roles, and times of refreshment for the journey ahead.
We have invited a number of people from our Baptist family of churches to be part of the time away for you to be able to connect with and explore what God is stirring in you.
You are a Spiritual Leader not because of the title you hold or the study you’ve done, but because our God has called you into this role for such a time as this.
