Your manual will be posted out to you at standard postage from Mental Health First Aid Australia. So please ensure your address is correct.
We recommend you complete the self-pased e-learning a few days before the zoom training, as Fiona needs to be sent your completed certificate of this section.
The training focuses on the 5 main issues in regards to youth mental health: depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders and substance abuse. You will be equipped in how to interact and respond with a teen who has a mental health problem or crisis. You will leave the training feeling prepared and confident in not only your knowledge on mental health issues, but how to open up conversations and support someone with a mental health problem and how to respond in a crisis. This training, once completed, gives you a three year, nationally recognised certification as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.Â
