Step into a vibrant part-time, 3 days/week role with our national Counselling, Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care (CCSC) team. You’ll help deliver and shape our suite of counselling courses and be part of a community equipping professional counsellors to bring lasting, hope-filled change to the lives of those they encounter.

About the Role:

  • Collaborates with the CCSC team to develop courses and oversee unit offerings.
  • Manages and supports permanent and adjunct staff, e.g., role responsibilities, staff wellbeing.
  • Supports the CCSC and Student Services teams in student engagement, e.g., providing student support and addressing issues (e.g., course progression).
  • Preparing and teaching classes in Counselling.
  • The role is part-time 22.8 hours/week (3 days/week).

Essential Attributes (please respond to these attributes in your Cover Letter):

  • Masters degree in Counselling or a related field.
  • Current clinical membership with a professional association (e.g., PACFA, ACA, CCAA).
  • Holds or is eligible for an active paid Working with Children’s Check.
  • Minimum 7 years’ professional practice experience with the ability to maintain current clinical practice.
  • Proven leadership in counselling with 3+ years in a senior role.
  • Committed to ongoing research and professional development.
  • Dedicated to advancing the counselling profession and contributing to its continued growth and improvement.
  • Excellence in tertiary teaching, including online delivery, with a strong understanding of client-centred, process-oriented counselling approaches.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Demonstrated Christian character and involvement in a local evangelical church.
  • Alignment of personal values, beliefs and practices with the mission, Staff Code (https://tinyurl.com/mcstaffcode), and Christian ethos of Morling College.
    Desirable Attributes
  • Experience with supervision of counselling practice will be favourably considered.
