Every year we gather together to worship and discern the Lord’s leading in the overall direction of our Association across three main events; The Gathering Annual Assembly Ordinary Assembly & Accreditation Service Our Assemblies function like an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and The Gathering serves as the main vision casting and networking event for our movement.

Leadership Conversations is about continuing to equip Christian leaders in their roles on topics that are timely for the current season. Just as times have changed, our approach to leadership needs to also adjust. The Association shares the conviction that leadership both today, and into the future, needs to be far more conversational. We need to listen well to the needs, concerns, hopes, and ideas of those around us rather than make decisions in isolation. As leaders we need to be in conversation, and we need to foster ministries, churches, and organisations that see this approach develop in the leaders around us. As always, our program reflects our theological convictions and as such we have invited a number of experienced, learned, and faithful individuals from a variety of different contexts to speak into our formation as leaders. Leadership Conversations is a day most suited to those working together in ministry teams, organisations, or churches, who are wanting to be more effective in this roles at leaders.

This conference is for people who lead Youth & Young Adult Ministries, and any Emerging Leaders that you are seeking to invest in. It is designed to focus on relationships, community, discipleship, prayer, sharing, growth, listening, connecting, ideas and refreshment.

The Connect Day is a day of community, inspiration, ideas, equipping and leadership development for Children's and Families Ministry Leaders. The whole day is about being inspired to find our position again, see the new horizons and be equipped to take some practical steps. To refresh and reorient. We invite you to connect with other children and family ministry leaders and local churches in your region. We believe those connections strengthen each of our local faith communities as we encourage, support and share ideas. Whether you are a volunteer or in a paid role, Sunday kids program leaders, volunteering in kid’s clubs, playtimes, SRE teachers, holiday programs or intergenerational ministries there will be something for you.

A two day festival of ideas, storytelling, masterclasses, networking, team building and much more. Form will shape evangelism and church planting in the Baptist Churches of NSW and the ACT as we see a movement of a thousand healthy churches in a generation.

SENT is a one year experience that equips missional leaders for ministry in our rapidly changing world. It is for anyone who isn’t simply interested in “content download” but wants to be trained in an environment where practical application, relevant experience, and formation are crucial for learning. You do not need any prior experience or training to qualify for this award.

Want to impact the lives of the young people in your church? Or equip yourself further for ministry in this area? “Impact” is a one year program designed to help equip you for ministry with children or teenagers, by exploring different approaches to ministry, Australian culture, healthy personal practices and effective programming. You will also get connected with practitioners from across NSW and ACT.

Professional counsellors have a profound influence on the lives of their clients in helping them to understand and interpret their life and circumstances. Studying counselling at Morling College will prepare you to respond authentically to your client's needs and problems within a clear biblical and theological framework. There are many different counselling courses available from Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas to Masters.

Arrow is committed to identifying leaders within the church, NFP and Education sectors to participate in an Arrow Leadership Program. The programs focus on developing transformational leaders, who are capable of engaging their context to bring renewal and transformation, so their organisation (church, NFP, school) is stronger and more connected to the community it desires to reach and serve.

Providing Australian College of Theology Accredited courses in partnership with Morling College and the Local Church. This involves an internship, ministry training and accreditation across a 2-3 year process.

Coaching is the process of "coming alongside". Cultivate Coaching exists to glorify God, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, to develop and equip a network of Christian coaches - people who empower others (and those they serve) to release their God-given potential. This is for you: If you've never been coached, but would like to learn If you are an experienced leader or mentor who would like to see the people you serve, better access the gold God has entrusted to them If you have been coached, and loved it, and want to learn to do this for others If you want to support, encourage and motivate others to discover and do the tasks God has planned for them, through easy and hard times

A Church Consultancy is an intentional process in which a church leadership agrees with trained and approved consultants, with the commitment of working together to benefit the local Church. A consultancy aims to help the church reach a greater level of church health to have a greater impact for the Kingdom of God. Consultancy is a proven process being used by Churches from a wide variety of denominations across Australia. Church Consultancy is not another programme or a quick fix solution. It is also not something only for conflicted or unhealthy churches. There are several different types of consultancies available to Churches through the consultancy ministry. All leaders from the local Church and the congregation as a whole. It is essential that all leaders be committed to the process and be involved in the best possible results.

Through the BDC process we will invest in you with tools, practices and skills for imitating the life and ministry of Jesus. These tools are simple, memorable and reproducible, allowing them to be passed along from generation to generation - so it doesn’t stop with you. Australian Christianity has been in numerical decline for decades and we believe something needs to change. The answer is not adding more programs. We need to be equipped to make disciples who make disciples, who make disciples.

For a church - Time between permanent Ministers can be an opportunity for re-focusing of ministry. TMAA trains and supervises Intentional Interim Ministers. Intentional Interim Ministers are placed through normal denominational channels. The Australian association was formed to facilitate on-going training and development of Intentional Interim Ministries in Australia. In the first 3 years of Intentional Interim Ministry in Australia, training was carried out by the Center for Congregational Health. In 2001, 4 Australian pastors were equipped as trainers. The association works with denominational leaders of Intentional Interim Ministers and ministers, including Baptists, Churches of Christ, Uniting, Anglican, Presbyterian, independent Pentecostal.

7 Week leadership training experience using the 6C Leadership program: Character, Competence, Character Clarity, Culture & Compassion

Morling College offers excellent opportunities for school leavers to study at Morling for 6 or 12 months, and achieve a recognised award, while being equipped with a Christian worldview. You can study towards an Undergraduate Certificate, Degree or Diploma in 2021, and participate in our discipleship program along with other students. Alternatively our IMPACT certificate program is available, in conjunction with a youth or children’s ministry internship in their local church. Morling College has decided not to run our traditional gap-year program (Plunge) in 2021. We remain committed to equipping and raising up young people to grow in their faith and impact the world. During 2021 we will be reviewing our range of school leaver options and addressing the challenges of these times, including how we can best equip young women and men when travel opportunities and community engagement are limited by the ongoing pandemic. The State Youth Camp (SYC) Internship is a 1 year program for those who are passionate about youth ministry. It is designed to equip for leadership, invest in your youth ministry and provide opportunities for further growth. The internship is run by Baptist Youth Ministries (BYM) with the State Youth Camp team in partnership with your church. The Three-way Partnership is a written commitment between the intern, Baptist Youth Ministries (BYM), and the Intern’s local church. The SYC experience is incredibly broad and this is not purely for pastoral experience but rather for individuals to dive into any aspect of SYC whilst growing spiritually, professionally and personally.

Forming Church is all about exploring what church planting, mission and evangelism could look like in our rapidly changing world. We want to create content that generates learning and conversation around these areas while resourcing the next generation of planters, urban missionaries and followers of Jesus in contemporary Australian contexts. The podcast is being produced by the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT in collaboration with Lead by Story and will be hosted by Will Small and Benj Gould, who currently host Inhabit podcast — a conversation about forming habits to help us follow Jesus. After each episode, Jamie Freeman will sit down with a few friends and unpack what we’ve just heard, sharing insights and dreaming about what Forming Church could look like across Australia.
