SRE exists in NSW because of the vision, dedication and hard work of many who have gone before us. Having an understanding of some of SRE’s history may help us appreciate where we are today.

The following diagrams give us a timeline of the history of SRE both in Australia and more specifically in NSW.

… home, school and community are not completely separate entities, but have mutually supportive roles in education….

…. that the community should be involved in schools. The SRE program could provide considerable scope for community involvement.
