We are seeking a passionate and caring Children’s Ministry Assistant to join our team at TCBC. This role supports the Children’s and Families Pastor in leading our children’s programs, helping kids encounter Jesus in a fun, safe, and engaging way. The Children’s Ministry Assistant will help coordinate and run our children’s ministries, modelling what it means to follow Jesus and creating opportunities for children to grow in their faith.
TCBC is one of the larger churches within the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT. We are based in the northern suburbs of Sydney, and our community (currently around 600 people) comes from throughout the Hornsby Shire and The Hills Shire.
The role and responsibilities of the Children’s Assistant include:
- Lead, support and guide our volunteer team in running our Sunday TCBC Kids program.
- Coordinate our weekly BLAST Kids Club (Friday afternoons)
- Assist in planning and leading our annual Kids Games holiday program.
- Partner with parents and carers, supporting them as they disciple their children.
- Ensure a safe and caring environment for all children and leaders.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Loves Jesus and wants to see kids grow in Him
- Has strong organisational and team skills
- Enjoys working with children and building relationships with families
- Is committed to creating safe, Christ-centred spaces for children.
